"Rain Room", created by the London based art collective Random International, is a permanent installation at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.  Triggered by motion sensors, the "rain" stops falling as a body approaches.  I was intrigued by the responses by visitors.

I saw people who were often amused, sometimes bewildered or startled, and occasionally somewhat lost. Children seemed to react with unbridled delight.  Some seemed compelled to validate their presence by the now ubiquitous selfie.  What I saw was, to me, a metaphor for how many of us respond to life.
